This half-day event will explore the opportunities available to improve the productivity and competitiveness of Toronto region’s manufacturing industry, including those related to technology adoption, green manufacturing, precision manufacturing, and management and transition of IP. Speakers include government officials, industry leaders, operations and supply consultants, law experts, and leading innovators. For attendees, the event aims to build knowledge and capacity in key areas.

This is a conference for the ocean technology industry. The conference will include international delegates, research, development and commercialization presentations and B2B meetings.

Collision brings together a range of famous speakers, leading technology companies and media. 

Under the theme Beyond LatAm: Tech Trends in Emerging Markets, this event takes place shortly before Collision in Toronto and will feature speakers and leaders of the Latin-American start-up community for three evening sessions of business speakers, panels and workshops.

To meet climate targets and ensure that the economy is competitive globally, Ontario will need to double its electricity generation capacity by 2050. Addressing these challenges will require a range of solutions, including nuclear energy. This event will explore opportunities in nuclear energy.

Building off of the Federal Black Entrepreneurship Program, this event will examine the progress of the Black Entrepreneurship Ecosystem as partners continue to collaborate to improve and amplify the Black business community. Discussion topics will include: strategies to overcome organizational barriers, effective networking techniques, and other business development strategies. The event will address how the Black Entrepreneurship Program funds are spent throughout the Black business community.

Building on a historic string of investment in electric vehicles, clean steel and critical mineral sectors, provincial and federal governments have rolled out new program incentives to support grid resiliency, leverage the value of our clean electricity grid and accelerate adoption of new manufacturing technologies. The event will showcase success stories and will discuss Insights on the latest energy research, trends, and incentives. The keynote speaker is the Honourable Todd Smith, Minister of Energy.

This webinar will discuss how manufacturers can embrace Industry 4.0 to unlock operational efficiency, long-term innovation, market resilience, and gain global competitive edge. Discussion points include: the importance of digitising manufacturing, benefits of Industry 4.0, feasibility/capacity of businesses to successfully adopt information and operational technologies, skills needs for the new manufacturing, how companies are building cyber awareness and tackling cyber threats.

This event is designed for early stage, women-identifying Indigenous entrepreneurs. The featured speakers are Kimberly Gorgichuk: Indigenous Women and Youth Program Officer, NACCA and Ashley Richard: Associate Director, Indigenous, WEKH. As part of the Startup Women 2023 program, Startup Canada will facilitate industry-specific advisory circles once a month between February and November. Hosted by Isabel Nolan, Program Lead for Startup Women, these sessions will feature expert talks from late-stage founders, a panel discussion with support organizations within the industry and networking breakout rooms with attendees and speakers. This close-door, virtual meetup will give women all across Canada a sense of community and support.

Keiretsu Forum Canada is a designated Startup Visa program. Its members have supported and funded over 90 new-to-Canada companies with high growth potential, making it the most active Startup Visa program.

#NGBIdeas is an annual Life Sciences innovation summit in support of Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation that brings together industry leaders and scaling start-ups from across Canada. The summit features short talks about the path that researchers and businesses taking and the innovations underway. Following each talk, a start-up founder working on that topic discussed will share their company’s journey and impact on the life sciences economy.

This event takes place during Small Business Week and highlights the role entrepreneurs play in fueling economic growth and how ecosystem partners can further empower entrepreneurs to continue to innovate and create new companies. Attendees include entrepreneurs, innovators, industry executives, and government representatives.

Hosted in partnership with the City of Mississauga, this trade show will feature 25 automation and advanced manufacturing firms with their headquarters in Germany and offices in Canada. Approximately 300 representatives of the manufacturing community are expected to attend.

This is the City of Toronto's full-day signature in-person event for SMEs in Toronto.
