During a time of unprecedented change, it is encouraging to see trailblazing companies, like Axiom, continuing to push forward and embrace new ways of doing business.
Established in 1987, Axiom specializes in designing and developing thermoplastic injection molding—a process that creates custom high-value plastic components for the auto industry. Axiom, which has a longstanding history in the Markham and Aurora communities, is a notable contributor to the growth of southern Ontario’s auto industry., and employs over 220 full-time and 20 part-time staff between its two 50,000 sq. ft. locations.
The company prioritizes its relationships with customers; working closely with them to design and engineer in-demand quality, complex parts at the lowest possible cost while meeting the standards required by Original Equipment Manufacturers. Its products also offer environmental benefits as they contribute to the light weight of vehicles, improving fuel efficiency and extending the range of electric vehicles.
With a $4.5-million repayable contribution from FedDev Ontario, this forward-looking company is seizing opportunities to improve, grow, expand and innovate.
With this support, Axiom is continuing to automate and digitize processes at its facilities that will help to increase its capacity to develop high-tech molding for leading automakers, as well as enhance and expand its development, design and quality control capabilities.

Sharifi also noted the project will: “create real opportunities for a high-quality skilled workforce in southern Ontario,” by establishing 60 new skilled jobs in Aurora and position Aurora and Ontario to take advantage of the significant investments recently announced in Ontario to manufacture electric vehicles.
In addition to the growth and enhancements supported by this project, the company is also responding to the province’s call to action to develop PPE right here in Ontario. Axiom is utilizing its capabilities to create specialized parts to manufacture durable face shields made from fully-recyclable materials. This is just another example of how even during times of uncertainty; Axiom is committed to working creatively and proactively within the manufacturing industry to deliver needed products to the public.
